Where I've Been |
I started gymnastics when I was three years old, and I joined my first cheerleading squad at 6. Ever since, I haven't taken a year off of cheerleading. I revolve my life around cheerleading and gymnastics. When I was 12, I had a four-wheeler accident with my friend, Emily. I swerved to miss a bunny, but I hit a tree instead. We had quite a few injuries. Emily had to get stitches in her eyebrow because she busted it open when she hit her head off of the back of mine. I sprained left arm, had a puncture hole in my left arm, bit completely through my bottom lip, had to get stitches on my neck from a briar cutting me, knocked my front four teeth out, but my braces held them inside of my head, although they were just dangling on my braces wire and brackets, and shattered my top jaw bone. That night, I went to the oral surgeon around ten o'clock to have my teeth out back into their sockets and secured. It was in that moment that I realized just how precious life and how how quick everything can change. Emily and I both healed well with only scars to remind us! On February 28, 2013, my life turned around again. My friend, Katlyn Smith, lost her battle to cancer that night. After a long fight, she made her journey to Heaven to be with the Lord. She will always be remembered and in our hearts!
